Guest Post Thursday: O fată simplă

Hi,
Today's guest blogger is Anca and she has prepared both a lively and a lovely manicure for us. Let's see!

Hi,
My name is Anca and I have a small blog with manicures, O fata simpla. I want to thank our host for making it possible for me to post on her blog and I hope that my manicure is good enough to be among hers.
I wanted a coloured manicure, so I picked the nail polishes that I like - I am really into pastels - and mixed in what I hope is a manicure you will like.
I hope you like it and that you will try them yourself!

Neon yellow manicure

Buna,

Hi,
Today I'll show you a summery manicure I created. It doesn't actually fit the weather here, but I think it would be great with a tanned skin.

In final, am aplicat un top coat transparent. Ce parere aveti?

I started with two coats of Avon -Inspire and then, using a sponge, I applied some phosphorescent green on the tips- Chissa #255. Then I stamped the deisgn from BM-316 plate using black polish. I finished with a clear top coat. What do you think?

Avon Haul & Orange manicure

Buna,

Hi,
Today I'll show you my new nail polishes from Avon. Together with these, I'll show you the new scrub soap for heels, which has just appeared. I tried it already and I really liked its texture. Its soft particles removed pretty well the dead skin on my feet.
1. Mandarin Magic; 2.Well being; 3. Pink Pearl; 4. Prompt and Pearly
1. Noir emerald; 2, Sea Breeze; 3. Inspire; 4. Plum Seduction

Prima data va voi arata preferata mea dintre toate - Mandarin Magic.

Firstly, I'll show you my favourite shade from all  - Mandarin Magic. I applied two coats, which dried very fast. What I like the most are the gold particles in the intense orange. In my opinion, this shade is perfect for summer and I feel that I'll wear it a lot on my nails.

For this design, I used BM-308 image plate from Bundle Monster and black nail polish. I finished with clear top coat. What do you think?

Guest Post Thursday: Panna Marchewka

Hi,
This Thursday's guest blogger is Dominika from Panna Marchewka and she has prepared an amazing manicure for my blog. She always posts cute manicures, as well as great pictures and she did the same blow. Please comment if you like her nail art and also visit her blog. Let's she what she has to say!

There’s  something I just can’t obey this season- geometric patterns. All these triangles, circles, squares are so HOT for me. When I saw this photo, I just knew I must have something like that - not necessarily as a casing. I grabbed my polishes instantly, took a piece of the foil and a nail art brush - that’s how this design appeared. It was so simple to do. Barry M is a base polish here, you can see a darker turquoise shade added with the saran wrap technique. Then I hand-painted the white triangles with the tape method and the brush. And it’s…done!

Sweet Tips Nails -Macaron

Hi,
Today I'll show you a really cute glitter polish I recently got from Sweet Tips Nails. The one I have here is called Macaron and it's a gorgeous mix of pink, silver and gold small sequins. I wear it on Dior #943 and I simply love those two together. I applied two thin coats of glitter and no top coat. What do you think?

Sweet Tips Nails nail polishes can be found in Jen's etsy store, for $9 each. There are plenty of coloured glitter polishes there, and I'll show you some more in the next posts.

Feather nail art

Hi,
Today I'll show you my cute feather nail art. I've been intenting to try this for a really long time and I've finally had the chance. I got the feathers from Born Pretty for $1,35. They're actually really cheap and there are many colours to chose from available on their website. I started with two coats of Sinful Colors -Dream on on all my nails except the ring finger's, on which I applied Sinful Colors -Last chance. I applied the feather on the dark green base, sticking it with clear top coat. I also applied several coats of clear polish afterwards. What do you think?

Sandwich manicure

Hi,
As you might have already seen the popular 'sandwich manicures' on many blogs, I've finally had the chance do wear one myself, too. There are some nail polishes on the market which offer this effect, such as Golden Rose or China Glaze, but there are also many tutorials about how to get this effect using polishes you have at home. If you are too lazy to create a franken or you simply don't have access to them in your country (I have this problem, too), Born Pretty store is the best alternative. They have free international shipping and I have to admit that the Tribal nail polishes are definitely worth buying!
You can find the snowflake nail polish I'm wearing here - it's #2 in the list. I applied two coats of it above a thin layer of pink polish. Its dry time surprised me. Generally, glitter nail polishes have two main disadvantages: you have to wait really long until they're dried and you have to apply numerous coats so that there is a considerable amount of glitter particles. This polish doesn't have any of this problems! Now you see why I love it so much. What do you think?

If you haven't seen my post about the other Tribal nail polish I own, check it now!

Now, into the nail polish stuff. I recently got an awesome peach shade from Born Pretty which is said to be a fluorescent one. I actually did not notice any fluorescent properties, but it's awesome in daylight. I applied three coats of it so as to be opaque and no top coat above. If you want to order from their website, use ASJ61 code for a 10% discount. In addition, Born Pretty store offers free international shipping. What do you think about the nail polish I'm wearing?

Cute bow manicure

Hi,
Today I'll show you another matte glittered manicure. As you might have noticed, I totally love this combination. I started with two coats of Illamasqua -Vice and then I applied alternatively two different glitter polishes: Sinful Colors -I miss you and I Love Nail Polish -A nice Chianti. On my ring finger, I stamped the bow from the QA5 image plate I got from Born Pretty. I applied a pink rhinestone in the middle of it. Finally, I applied the Flormar's Matifying Top coat. What do you think?

Guest Post Thursday: Cubbiful

Hi,
It's Thursday again and we have another great guest post. Let's see what I'm talking about!

Hellooooooo! I'm Mina from cubbiful and let me start by thanking our awesome host, maRyya, whose blog you just gotta love. She accepted me as a guest and I thought I'd celebrate that with... a bright colourful mani, which is kind of my signature. Hope you all like it and I hope it makes your lovely blog some justice, maRyya.

I started with Coral Matte 401 for the perfect yellow base :)

After, it dried a good 20min, then I  went and placed striping tape (six bits of it for each nail) to make the design.

I used Kiko Sugar Mat Strawberry Pink 641 for the tape mani.

And, last but not least, I spruce up the mani a bit by placing a red square rhinestone below the tape design :)
And that's it! Hope this makes you have an awesome day!
Hugs & Kissies,
Mina *

Polish Days: THE NUMBER 5!

Hi,
May's Polish Days Theme is 'the number 5'. There were plenty of ways to interpret this, but I chose the five fingers we have on a hand. I don't usually take pictures of all my five fingers, so I found it to be the perfect opportunity. The truth is, I don't do that because my thumb is quite inflexible and I can't find a position I like for it. Though, I tried my best to make some good pictures.

I started with two coats of Illamasqua -Scorch and then, using a sponge, I applied Miss Sporty #346 on half of the nail. The design I stamped was from A03 image plate. I finished with a clear top coat. What do you think?

Eye Candy's Contact lenses review

Hi,
Today I'll show you a nice pair of blue contact lenses I got from Eye Candy's. I'll start with what I love the most and that is their diameter: 14,2 mm. This is the smallest diameter on the market for coloured lenses and it makes the them really comfortable. The ones I usually wear have 14,0 mm, so it's not a big difference. Next, their colour - it's  natural and it perfectly fits my skin tone. They come nicely packed, with instructions and a case to keep them in.
The ones I have are called GEO Tri-Color World Blue and cost $24,38. Here you can find them. Eye Candy's ships internationally, for free.
I'll leave you with some pictures to make an idea of what I'm talking about.

What do you think?

Snowflake nail polish from Born Pretty

Hi,
Today I'll show you a cute, glittered manicure I am going to wear this Easter. I started with two coats of Pure Ice -French Kiss and then I applied a single coat  of Snowflake nail polish from Born Pretty. This glitter is #4 on their website and it's amazing. The amount of coloured sequins is really generous and it looks amazing on nails. What I was looking for when I bought this polish was a replacement for Essence -Circus Confetti which I loved, but it was limited edition. I must admit that this polish fulfilled my wish!
Next, I stamped the bunny design from Bundle Monster's BM-302 plate. I followed this tutorial to get the final appearance. Finally, I applied a clear top coat. What do you think?
